Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Concordia University and a Master of Environmental Science from the University of Toronto.
Throughout her academic career, she completed several internships and worked in research laboratories as an Aquatic Science Technician, Field Assistant, and Research Assistant. She also contributed to a scientific publication examining the effects of climate change on salmonid species.
During her master's degree, Sarah worked as a Teaching Assistant, helping university students better understand scientific concepts and develop effective study habits. Following graduation, she spent three years as a Biologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada, where she worked on conservation initiatives focused on the recovery of Species at Risk.
Her extensive scientific background allows her to connect classroom learning to real-world applications while providing students with valuable insight into careers in biology, environmental science, and conservation.
Sarah strives to help every student reach their highest potential by building a strong foundation in each subject before gradually developing more advanced skills through guided practice. She believes that confidence is built through understanding, and she tailors each lesson to meet the student's individual learning style and goals.
Beyond helping students succeed academically, Sarah enjoys inspiring curiosity about science and sharing her experiences working in research and environmental conservation. She is always happy to answer questions about university studies, scientific careers, and future opportunities in the field.
Outside of tutoring, Sarah enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors, where she continues to nurture her passion for the environment.
