Ava is currently pursuing her degree in Chemical Engineering at McGill University, where she also serves as the Software Lead of the ChemE Car Design Team and Vice President of the McGill Savoy Society. These leadership roles reflect her passion for collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Before attending McGill, Ava graduated from Ramsey High School with a 4.8 GPA, completing eight AP courses while taking on several leadership roles within her school community. Her strong academic background, combined with her experiences working alongside students, has helped her develop a patient, adaptable teaching style focused on making complex concepts easier to understand.
Rather than encouraging memorization, Ava helps students understand the reasoning behind what they're learning. She adapts each lesson to the student's learning style, helping them develop confidence, critical thinking skills, and study habits that extend well beyond the classroom.
Ava's calm, encouraging personality allows students to feel comfortable asking questions and learning from their mistakes. She believes that every student learns differently and enjoys finding new ways to explain concepts until they truly click. Her goal isn't simply to help students achieve better grades, it's to help them become confident, independent learners.
Outside of tutoring, Ava enjoys balancing her analytical side with her creative interests. Whether she's working on engineering projects, composing music, performing, spending time outdoors, or staying active through sports, she brings the same curiosity, enthusiasm, and dedication into every tutoring session.
